Monday, July 20th Camden to Orrington, Maine.

Hello Blogateers,

It is 7:15 a.m. Monday morning here in the picturesque and delightful Camden, Maine.
Famous as the setting for the soap opera movie Peyton Place.
Lots of Postcard views here, with the amazing river flowing under Main Street and coming out at the back of the Main Street shops and running into the harbor and big ship marina.

Mariner's Grill Restaurant has the red and white umbellas on the back deck. I got up and out at 5:45.
I took these photos and then had breakfast at Mariner's Grill shortly after it opened at 6 a.m.
Wild Maine Blueberry Pancakes with a side of spicy sausage. With coffee of course.

Mariner's Grill Early Bird Breakfast. Very yummy. Spicy sausage like Jimmy Dean's.
the bill was $8.50 and I tipped $2.50.

Ross is still asleep, of course, and I am about to get through the shower and get cleaned up and packed up and start moving luggage to the car. We are driving to Dad's house in Orrington today via Perry's Nut House in Belfast and then up to Bucksport and along west to Orrington.

Probably get to Dad's house around 4 p.m. give or take an hour.

I'll finish this blog later, after we get to Dad's house.

Here's some photos of Camden:

Sailing Ship for harbour cruises; The Appledore.

More Appledore in Camden Harbor and Marina.

Camden Harbor, early Monday morning with a misty sky. July 20th.

Cappy's Chowderhouse, where we had dinner last night with our silly waitress Elly.
(Like in Elly-May Clampett.)

Bye for now, 7:37 a.m.; shower has called.

Lance
