Friday, July 17th in Kittery, Maine

Hello Bloggy Followers,

Friday, July 17th, we started out at about 8 a.m. and packed up from The Candlewood Suites and got to Uncle Carl and Aunt Cilla's house at about 8:40 a.m. for a superb breakfast produced by Cilla.
We had crispy bacon, French toast, with real pure maple syrup mad by hand by John and Brady Beatson (great work guys! beautiful!) and melon. Great Breakfast. Good start to a long day.

We finally got away, and we successfully programmed the "Lady" i.e., our GPS Navigator for our upcoming Motel, Days Inn, Kittery. Off to Kittery and Ross's favorites, the Factory Outlet Stores.

We started off great but ran into very heavy stop and go traffic around Boston. Then we finally got moving better and eventually got to our hotel at about 1:40 p.m. or so.

We had a menu downloaded , already, from Bob's Clam Hut, that has a certain amount of fame, in the world of Clam Huts around the world, dontcha know.

Here's Ross at the "Order Counter" to order his Clam Chowder, later you get a P.A. Announcement to " Pick up order number 4537 at Pick-up window 2. " It was good, oh yeah.

My order wasthe Jumbo Lobster Roll with Unsweetened Ice Tea. Very nice!

Bob's Clam Hut and me. Happy Happy Happy.

Then we hit the Factory Outlets. Ross Heaven.

Where did we go? Glad you asked, this is the alphabetical list.

Adidas, American Eagle, Brooks Brothers, Brookstone, Calvin Klein, Champion, Columbia Sportswear, Crate and Barrel, Eddie Bauer, Hanes Underwear, J.Crew, Levis Outlet Store,
Nautica, Nike Factory Store, Orvis Outlet (where we got the shirts we admired in their NYC Fifth Avenue Shop, for half price.) Polo Ralph Lauren, Rockport Shoes, Sketchers, Talbots, Tommy Hilfiger, Tumi, Under Armour, and , finally (exhausted Lance) Villeroy and Bach.

Ross says Villeroy and Bach are cheaper at Harbourtown Factory Outlets so Lee is instructed to go up on the weekend and get the Good Stuff.

No shopping photos, sorry.

Then, loaded down with new aquisitions, (I am wearing my new Orvis polo shirt; magnificent and "on sale" in NYC for $90 US. We got them for half price. Yippee.) we went to dinner at The Weathervane Seafood Restaurant. I had the advertized Twin Lobster Dinner for under $20. Ross had the Lobster Pie.

There's my Twin Lobster Dinner, as advertised. It was magnificent. Only One pound lobsters, and a certain amount of hard work involved in the cracking and prying out of Lobster meat, but very very sweet and delicious!

Us; at The Weathervane Seafood Restaurant at The Kittery Factory Outlets Mall.

The meal was terrific, as was our late lunch at Bob's Clam Hut. Ross got a great T-Shirt from Bob's Clam Hut with Bob's logo on the front and "Eat Clams!" on the back. I think it will be a great hit at his Aussie Rotary Club Meetings.

After dinner we were semi-exhausted and headed back to the Motel for a quick debrief and bedtime.

Bye for now, headed for Freeport and L.L.Bean.
Tonight is mt 45 year Williams High School Reunion at The Waterville Country Club, I will drive up from Freeport, a 90 minute drive, approximately.

Ross and Lance
